Bag-on-Valve (BOV) Aerosols
The Bag-on-Valve process is used for products where the product formulation is contained in a sealed bag due to product properties or technical requirements. Pure compressed air is used as the propellant to apply the product, which also makes it environmentally friendly.
Examples of products that use BOV technology include shaving gels, spray lotions, body lotions, shower gels, or sun protection products. The production and filling of aerosol cans using the Bag On Valve process, the technologically sophisticated supreme discipline of aerosol production, is part of the standard repertoire. Not everyone can do it – it’s a true mark of expertise!

Sustainable Aerosols
We have the perfect application/packaging for each of our customers and products. For this purpose, we utilize aluminum cans made from 95% PCR material (Post-Consumer Recycled), caps made from 100% PCR material, or opt for lock systems to eliminate the need for caps altogether. Our paper packaging is sourced from FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) suppliers, and our transport packaging is made from recycled materials.
Over the past 20 years, VOC emissions (volatile organic compounds) have increased roughly in parallel with population growth. In response to this concern, we have been working on a sustainable alternative to traditional aerosol technology, which incorporates novel formulations and an innovative ECO valve specifically designed for our VOC-free products.
In this approach, we completely avoid flammable and mineral oil-based propellants, using NaTrue-compliant formulations with and without alcohol. Another significant advantage is that 100% of the product volume reaches the customer, unlike traditional sprays where it is mixed with evaporating propellants.
